Ang Misyon Inc. (“Organization”) values the confidentiality of Personal Data. This Privacy Notice (“Privacy Notice”) describes how the Organization collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and disposes Personal Data in accordance with its data privacy policies, standards, activities, the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (“DPA”), its Implementing Rules and Regulations (“IRR”), issuances of the National Privacy Commission (“NPC”) and other relevant laws of the Philippines. This Privacy Notice applies to this website (“Website”). By accessing the Website, you consent to the data privacy policies and activities described in this Privacy Notice.

The Organization may, from time to time, modify its data privacy policies, activities, and this Privacy Notice to comply with any future developments in local and/or foreign data privacy regulations, where applicable, and to reflect any changes in the Organization’s data privacy policies, standards, and activities.

What type of personal data does the Organization collect, use, and process?

The Organization will collect, use, and process the following personal data from you (“Data Subject”) when you submit to us any inquiry, application, or request (“Personal Data”):

  • Civil Status
  • Age
  • Educational Background
  • Profile or Bio documents such as Resumé, Curriculum Vitae etc.
  • Company/Institution/Other Affiliations
  • Other information that will help support Scholar and Orchestra Program Application Processes and Auditions including but not limited to family background, employment, sources of income, estimated household income, music background, etc.

Why does the Organization collect, use, and process Personal Data?

The Organization collects, uses, and processes your Personal Data to reply to and/or address your inquiries, applications or requests, which are accessible only to the Organization’s authorized representatives, and to provide you with any other pertinent information in relation to such inquiry, application, or request.

In general, the Organization will also collect, use, and process Personal Data for any of the following purposes:

  • to comply with the Organization’s legal obligations and regulatory requirements of government agencies;
  • to perform such other processes reasonably necessary or desirable in connection with the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice, and to achieve its corporate objectives.

Does the Organization use web analytics?

This Website uses cookies. Your web browser may place cookies on your device for record-keeping purposes and may track certain information about your use of our Website. These websites, advertisements, and links are operated by entities independent of the Organization and have their own privacy policies. This Privacy Notice does not apply to such other websites, advertisements, or links, or to the collection, processing, or use of Personal Data by them. The Organization assumes no responsibility whatsoever over the content of such websites, advertisements, or links, or the measures, if any, that are taken by them to protect the privacy of Personal Data.

With whom may the Organization share Personal Data?     

As a general rule, the Organization does not and will not share or disclose Personal Data with a third party except: (i) as may be necessary for the proper execution of processes related to its purposes, or (ii) as the Organization may deem reasonably necessary or desirable to achieve its corporate objectives; (iii) in accordance with the Organization’s legal obligations; and, (iv) in compliance with regulatory requirements of government agencies.

The Organization may provide Personal Data to the following, among others:

  • existing and prospective business partners, service providers, and contractors;
  • sponsors, donors, benefactors, members, and others stakeholders of the Organization, and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries; and,
  • law enforcement and government agencies.

The sharing or disclosure of Personal Data to third parties shall be in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

How does the Organization protect personal data?

The Organization strictly enforces this Privacy Notice. It implements technological, organizational, and physical security measures to protect Personal Data from loss, misuse, unauthorized modification, unauthorized or accidental access or disclosure, alteration, or destruction. The Organization enforces the following safeguards, among others:

  • secured servers and firewalls;
  • encryption on computing devices;
  • restricted access by its qualified and authorized representatives; and,
  • strict implementation of data privacy policies, standards, and activities.

Where and how long does the Organization keep Personal Data?

The Organization stores Personal Data in both local and off-shore facilities, such as data centers (on-site and/or cloud-based storage systems). Subject to the DPA, its IRR, the relevant issuances of the NPC, and this Privacy Notice, the Data Subject may reasonably request Personal Data to be deleted from the Organization’s systems, databases, and hard copies within a reasonable period.

The Organization will keep Personal Data in accordance with its data retention policies and standards  to the extent required for the fulfillment of the purposes and objectives described herein, the exercise of its legal rights and remedies, the pursuit and defense of legal claims, and in compliance with laws, rules, regulations, or lawful court orders.

What are the rights of a Data Subject under the Data Privacy Act?

Data Subjects have the following rights as may be consistent with the DPA, its IRR, the relevant issuances of the NPC:

  • right to be informed;
  • right to object;
  • right to access;
  • right to rectify or correct erroneous data;
  • right to erase or block;
  • right to secure data portability;
  • right to be indemnified for damages;
  • right to file a complaint
